With the oil production rate of 2008, all of the energy produced will be consumed locally by 2027 Nuclear energy is not an attractive option to Kuwait due to its related political, technical, and environmental issues. A possible option for nuclear energy will exist if a common electrical grid among GCC countries is constructed. Solar energy and wind power will be the most available sources of energy in the future. Kuwait's energy sector is growing in confidence despite falling oil prices. However deep the gloom elsewhere, in Kuwait City the mood is bullish due to the fact that Kuwait enjoys the lowest per-barrel production costs in the world, and the market's weakening will expose this competitive advantage.
